Parliament Opens 2026 Pupillage Vacancies, Applications Ongoing

The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has invited applications for twelve positions under its 2026 Pupillage Programme. The programme will run for six months starting January 2026 and will give law students practical experience within Parliament.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, September 24, the Commission asked Kenya School of Law (KSL) students sitting their bar exams in November 2025 to apply.

“The Parliamentary Service Commission now seeks to engage twelve (12) Kenyans to undertake their Pupillage Programme with the Parliament of Kenya for a period of six months commencing January 2026,” the statement read.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree with an Upper Second-Class Honours from a recognized university. They must also be admitted to KSL, have proficiency in English and Kiswahili with a minimum grade of “B” plain in both, and have strong communication and computer skills. The commission also requires candidates to show initiative and be ready to work under tight deadlines as part of a team.

Application Process

Interested candidates should fill the Parliamentary Service Commission Job Application Form (Form 1J). The form is available for download on the PSC website (www.parliament.go.ke) or can be collected in person from the Commission’s reception desk at County Hall, Parliament Buildings, Nairobi.

Applicants should attach the completed form with their admission letter from KSL, certified academic certificates and testimonials. All documents should be compiled into one PDF file and sent to [email protected] by September 30, 2025.

Incomplete applications or those without Form 1J will not be considered.

This is part of PSC’s efforts to support the professional growth of aspiring lawyers by giving them real life experience in legislative and legal affairs.
