Ksh69,000 for a Car? Company Announces Massive Auction – Here’s How to Bid

Kenyans searching for vehicles auctioned below Ksh100,000 now have a rare opportunity after Onyango and Tarus Law Firm announced a major public auction featuring budget-friendly cars alongside high-end models.

In a notice published on Monday, March 2, the firm urged interested buyers to submit their offers before Tuesday, March 10, warning that late submissions will not be considered.

Among the standout bargains is a Toyota Succeed going for Ksh69,000, available for viewing at Knick Automax in Kitui. Also attracting attention is a Toyota Allion priced at Ksh88,000, which can be inspected at the Blackbird Yard in Kisumu.

All vehicles are being sold strictly on an “as is, where is” basis — meaning buyers must inspect the units personally and accept them in their current condition.

Budget Cars and Premium Models Available

Beyond the sub-Ksh100,000 range, the auction features several other vehicles priced between Ksh100,000 and Ksh900,000, including a Mazda Carol, Nissan March, Volkswagen Passat, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Sienta, and additional Toyota Succeed units.

For buyers seeking luxury or commercial vehicles, the listing includes a BMW X6 valued at Ksh4.7 million, a Volkswagen Golf, a Hino FC500 Truck, a Leyland Truck, and a Case IH JXM90 priced at over Ksh1 million.

Interested buyers can also visit storage yards in Nyahururu, Bamburi, Malindi, Garissa, Nairobi, Migori, Murang’a, and Kisumu to inspect additional units.

The Upper Hill-based law firm, located at the KMA Centre, directed bidders to submit their offers through the eezycars.co.ke platform.

KRA Announces Separate JKIA Auction

The announcement comes shortly after the Kenya Revenue Authority revealed plans to auction unclaimed consignments at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

In a gazette notice dated February 27, the authority warned that goods not cleared within 30 days would be deemed abandoned and disposed of in accordance with the law, including through public auction.

The auction is scheduled to take place online on April 1, 2, and 3, 2026.

Items listed include wooden pallets measuring 113 cubic metres, chilled water blowers, electrical gas control panels, stainless steel round bars, piping installations measuring 150 cubic metres, EPS panels, chromadek signs, aluminium materials, rivets, screws, and bandages.

Growing Demand for Auction Deals

Car auctions in Kenya have increasingly become attractive to budget-conscious buyers looking for affordable alternatives to dealership prices. However, experts advise thorough inspection and due diligence before submitting bids, especially under “as is” terms.

With the March 10 deadline fast approaching, interested buyers are being urged to act quickly to secure their preferred units.
