The Most Sought-After Jobs of the Next Decade Revealed
The U.S. labor market outlook shows that healthcare and service-related roles will lead job creation over the next decade, with home health aides topping the list.
The latest job projections show a big shift in the workforce, with healthcare and service industries being the top fields for job seekers in the next decade.
At the top are home health and personal care aides, with over 739,000 new jobs. Analysts say this is due to the growing need for elder care and support for people living with chronic illness.
In the service sector, fast food and counter workers will add around 233,000 new positions, as quick-service restaurants continue to expand. Stockers and order fillers will see a gain of 235,000 jobs, as retail and logistics networks grow.
The restaurant industry is also growing, with cooks expected to grow by about 217,000 jobs. And demand for skilled healthcare professionals remains strong, with 164,000 registered nurses added over the next decade.
Leadership and management roles will also grow. General and operations managers will increase by 166,100 jobs, while medical and health services managers could add 142,900 jobs, as organizations and healthcare need strong oversight.
These projections show a labor market that values both hands-on service and professional management skills, for millions of workers to come.
