Family Reveals Last Moments Before Missing Politician Shadrack Maritim Disappeared

The family of Shadrack Maritim, a 2027 Tinderet parliamentary aspirant, is appealing for help in finding him after he disappeared during a routine morning run on October 27.

Maritim, who lives in Cheplaskei, Uasin Gishu County near Eldoret, left home around 6 a.m. dressed in a grey jacket, matching sneakers, and bluish track trousers. His family said he did not take his phone with him and has not been seen or heard from since.

“He left his phone at home, and there has been no contact since his disappearance,” the family said in a statement. “He went for his routine morning run and never returned; we are extremely worried. Please help us find him.”

News of his disappearance spread quickly through the community, triggering protests as residents demanded action from authorities. Police were later deployed to disperse the demonstrations.

“It is very unfortunate that the Tinderet MP aspirant, Shadrack Maritim, alias Captain, has been missing since Monday. Nobody knows his whereabouts,” one resident said, urging the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to take up the matter.

“To the great people of Tinderet, let’s not allow politics to divide us or delay justice for this family,” he added.

As of now, neither the police nor the DCI has released an official update on Maritim’s disappearance, leaving his family and supporters anxiously waiting for answers.
