Fresh political tensions have emerged after Hon. Juliet Riziki Bayah accused a political party of betraying her leader despite what she described as his unwavering loyalty.

In a statement shared publicly, Bayah claimed that her leader had made a solemn promise during his father’s burial that he would never abandon the party, but alleged that the commitment had not been reciprocated.
“My leader promised baba during his burial that he will never betray his party, but the party has betrayed him,” Bayah said.
Although Bayah did not elaborate on the specific events that prompted her remarks, the statement is likely to fuel speculation over growing political divisions and internal disagreements within the party.
Her comments come at a time when Kenya’s political landscape is witnessing increased realignments, with several leaders reassessing their alliances ahead of future political contests.
Neither the party leadership nor the leader referred to in Bayah’s remarks had publicly responded to the claims at the time of publication.
The remarks are expected to spark debate among supporters as questions continue to emerge over loyalty, party unity and the future political direction of key leaders.
