Passaris Demands DCI Probe into Pastor Ng’ang’a Over Shocking Assault Confession

Neno Evangelism Centre’s Apostle James Ng’ang’a is once again at the center of public outrage after a disturbing video clip surfaced online, where he is seen admitting to participating in a violent assault on a woman.

The undated video has been circulating widely on social media and captures the controversial preacher addressing his congregation while recounting how he and seven others attacked a woman in the past. The authenticity of the footage is however not verified.

“We assaulted one woman while we were eight people. We did it,” Ng’ang’a is heard saying in the clip as the congregation listens in silence.

The video went viral and Kenyans are outraged. Many are asking how such a confession can be made publicly without police intervention.

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris is one of the most vocal critics. She has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to take immediate action.

On her X account on Tuesday morning, Passaris expressed concern over the video and asked authorities to verify its authenticity. She acknowledged the possibility of AI manipulation but said such a serious claim cannot be ignored.

“In this era of AI-generated and manipulated videos, I don’t know if the clip is genuine or a deep fake, but one thing is certain: it must be investigated,” she posted.

Passaris went on to say if the video is real then Ng’ang’a’s statement is not a sermon but a confession of a serious crime.

“If that video is real then it’s not a sermon—it’s a criminal confession. It should have been flagged instantly and the pastor picked up for questioning by the authorities,” she added.

She challenged Ng’ang’a to surrender himself to the police and reveal the identities of his alleged accomplices.

“I keep wondering where the woman is today. How has her life been since that ordeal? The DCI must act fast to verify the video, protect the victim and uphold the law,” Passaris said.

Ng’ang’a has a history of controversy and has made headlines for his provocative remarks and questionable conduct during church services. Earlier this year he was condemned after a video emerged of him slapping a man during a sermon.

Despite the repeated backlash he faces, Ng’ang’a remains unapologetic and continues to attract both criticism and followers in equal measure.
