Super Metro Announces New Recruitment Drive for Road Inspectors — How to Apply

Super Metro has launched a fresh round of recruitment as the fast-growing matatu operator seeks to hire Road Inspectors to strengthen its day and night operations across Nairobi and surrounding routes.

In a notice issued on Friday, November 21, the company confirmed it is looking for individuals who can support its fleet by monitoring on-road activity, ensuring vehicles adhere to scheduled routes, and addressing operational challenges as they arise.

A company spokesperson said the new positions were part of wider efforts to maintain the operator’s reputation for reliability and service quality. “The Road Inspector plays a crucial role in coordinating our teams on the road, promoting safety, and ensuring our customers continue to receive the standard of service they expect,” the notice stated.

According to Super Metro, successful candidates will be expected to report delays, incidents and mechanical challenges, and provide real-time support to drivers and conductors during trips. The role also involves enforcing company policies and helping maintain smooth traffic flow along designated routes.

Qualifications and Requirements

The operator specified that applicants must have completed at least a Form Four level of education. While previous experience in public transport, road operations or related fields will be considered an added advantage, the company stressed that personal integrity and strong soft skills remain key.

Super Metro highlighted the need for “honesty, responsibility, good communication abilities and strong observation skills,” adding that candidates must be capable of working under minimal supervision. Those applying must also be ready to take up either day or night shifts as assigned.

Interested candidates have until Friday, December 5, 2025, to submit their applications. All applications must be delivered physically to Super Metro’s offices on the seventh floor of Njengi House, located along Tom Mboya Street in Nairobi. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
