Juliet Riziki Bayah Leads Kilifi Mobilisation as Edwin Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi Brigade Heads to Ol Kalou

Hon. Juliet Riziki Bayah has reaffirmed her commitment to the Linda Mwananchi movement, declaring that Kilifi County will be strongly represented as the brigade, led by Nairobi Senator Hon. Edwin W. Sifuna, prepares for a political rally in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County.

The outspoken politician said she remains confident that the movement is steadily gaining momentum in Kilifi, where she claims to have been among the first senior mainstream leaders to publicly embrace Linda Mwananchi at a time when many politicians were championing the “TUTAM” political message.

Speaking ahead of the Ol Kalou engagement, Bayah reflected on what she described as a difficult political decision that required conviction despite going against prevailing political opinion.

“When everyone else was singing ‘TUTAM,’ I chose to say no. I believed in the vision of Linda Mwananchi even when it was not the popular choice. Leadership is about standing for what you believe in, even if you stand alone,” she said.

According to Bayah, her decision to align herself with the movement has contributed to its growing visibility in Kilifi County, where she says support continues to increase as more residents embrace its message.

“I am proud of the journey we have taken. Today, Kilifi is slowly turning blue because people have embraced the message of change. It has taken sacrifice, resilience and determination, but the movement continues to grow,” she added.

Bayah further praised the increasing participation of young people, community leaders and grassroots supporters, arguing that their involvement demonstrates the movement’s expanding reach beyond its original support base.

As preparations intensify for the Ol Kalou rally, Bayah confirmed that she will join the Linda Mwananchi Brigade under the leadership of Senator Edwin W. Sifuna as the team continues its nationwide political mobilisation ahead of the next General Election.

“Linda Mwananchi Brigade, led by our leader Hon. Edwin W. Sifuna, we are coming to Ol Kalou. Kilifi County will be well represented,” she said.

She added that the movement intends to continue engaging wananchi across the country while promoting what she described as its vision for change.

“We are ready to engage wananchi and continue spreading the Linda Mwananchi message across the country,” Bayah stated.

Calling for unity among supporters, the Kilifi leader urged members to remain focused on grassroots mobilisation, saying the movement’s strength lies in collective participation and public engagement.

She concluded her remarks by repeating one of the movement’s widely used political slogans.

“Wantam is the slogan, na si tafadhali,” Bayah declared.

Her remarks come as the Linda Mwananchi movement continues to hold political engagements in various parts of the country as leaders intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 General Election. Bayah maintains that Kilifi will continue playing a prominent role in the movement’s activities as its support base grows.
