KCB Announces Multiple Vacancies as Bank Launches Fresh Recruitment Drive

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has announced a fresh recruitment drive targeting a range of specialist and managerial positions across its cybersecurity, digital services, enterprise architecture, and corporate banking divisions.

In a notice published this week, the lender invited suitably qualified professionals to submit their applications through the bank’s online portal. KCB emphasised that applicants must meet the outlined criteria to be considered for shortlisting.

“To be considered your application must be received by Friday, 05th December 2025,” the bank stated in its job advertisement, signalling a tight application window for interested candidates.

The vacancies cover eight key roles, each requiring a blend of technical expertise, professional certification, and significant industry experience.

1. Vulnerability Management Specialist, Cybersecurity

This position will be responsible for maintaining the bank’s vulnerability management framework, implementing risk controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and strategic cybersecurity objectives.

Candidates must hold a BSc in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field. At least one certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, Security+, or CEH is mandatory. Additional hands-on certifications—including OSCP, CPT, LPT, PenTest+, ECSA, CHFI, or cloud and container security credentials—are considered an advantage.
A master’s degree and five years’ supervisory experience are also required.

2. Cybersecurity Analyst (DevSecOps)

The DevSecOps Analyst will support secure software development, conduct security reviews, and ensure that cyber safeguards are embedded into the application lifecycle.

Applicants must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree and professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, Security+. Testing-focused certifications like CSSLP, CEH, OSCP, CPT, GPEN, or eWPT are also required.
A master’s qualification is an added advantage, alongside a minimum of three years’ experience.

3. Manager – Merchant & Mini-App Ecosystem

This role will lead the bank’s digital merchant and partner ecosystem, oversee mini-app programmes, and drive adoption and revenue growth across digital channels.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, with additional certifications in product or project management considered beneficial. The role requires at least five years’ experience in a similar capacity.

4. Cybersecurity Specialist, Content and Detection Engineering

The specialist will work within the Cybersecurity Intelligence Security Operations Centre (CISOC), handling threat detection systems, optimising detection logic, and supporting real-time cyber risk mitigation efforts.

5. CISOC Engineer

The CISOC Engineer will manage day-to-day operations of critical security monitoring infrastructure, including the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cybersecurity platforms.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or IT.
Professional certifications—including TOGAF, project management credentials such as Prince II, and cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)—are required.
A master’s degree is advantageous, and candidates must have at least eight years’ progressive experience in IT or engineering.

6. Enterprise Architecture Governance Analyst

This role focuses on enforcing enterprise architecture standards, conducting compliance reviews, identifying technology gaps, and aligning architectural strategies with broader business objectives.

Requirements mirror those of the CISOC Engineer, including a recognised bachelor’s degree, additional professional certifications, cloud architecture credentials, and a minimum of eight years’ experience.

7. Resourcing Manager

Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition & Resourcing, the Resourcing Manager will oversee recruitment processes, manpower planning, and candidate evaluations to meet organisational staffing needs.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in HR or a business-related field, supported by HR-specific certifications. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
The bank requires at least four years of relevant experience.

8. Senior Relationship Manager, Oil and Gas

This senior-level role focuses on managing high-value corporate clients in the oil and gas sector, enhancing business growth, and ensuring sustainable portfolio performance.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and at least seven years’ banking experience, including five years in relationship management and three within the oil and gas industry.
Strong financial analysis skills and a deep understanding of trade and transaction banking products are essential.
