Multi-Million State House Tenders Now Open for Applications

State House Opens Multi-Million Tender Opportunities as Ruto’s Office Invites Firms to Bid for Supply Contracts

Businesses across Kenya have been invited to compete for lucrative government supply contracts after the Executive Office of the President announced a fresh round of tenders for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 financial years.

The procurement notice, issued by State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito, seeks qualified firms to supply a wide range of goods and services to President William Ruto’s office under framework agreements that could see successful bidders secure government business over an extended period.

Among the advertised opportunities are contracts for outside catering services, audio-visual and sound equipment, tents and related accessories, meat and meat products, fruits and vegetables, fuels, oils and lubricants, as well as travel management and air ticketing services.

The announcement is expected to attract significant interest from businesses nationwide, with State House widely regarded as one of Kenya’s most prestigious government institutions for procurement contracts due to its consistent demand for supplies and services.

According to the tender notice, most bidders will be required to provide a bid security of KSh1 million, while companies seeking to supply fuels, oils and lubricants must submit a KSh2 million bid security.

However, the government has exempted suppliers bidding for fruits and vegetables and travel and air ticketing services from providing bid security, as these tenders have been exclusively reserved for youth, women and persons with disabilities under Kenya’s affirmative procurement policy.

Interested firms have until 11:00 a.m. on July 23, 2026, to submit completed tender documents at the tender box located at Gate D, State House, Nairobi.

In the official notice, Ole Metito encouraged prospective bidders to obtain the tender documents free of charge through the State House procurement portal or the Public Procurement Information Portal before submitting their applications.

“Tender documents may be downloaded from president.go.ke and tenders.go.ke free of charge. Bidders who download the tender documents must forward their company particulars to supplychain@president.go.ke,” Ole Metito said in the notice.

He further directed applicants on how to submit their bids.

“Completed documents, both original and a copy and marked with the tender number, should be deposited at the Tender Box located at Gate D and addressed to the Comptroller of State House, P.O. Box 40530-00100, Nairobi,” he added.

The Comptroller explained that the contracts will be awarded through framework agreements, a procurement model that enables government institutions to pre-qualify suppliers and purchase goods or services as needed over a specified period without conducting fresh tenders each time.

The latest procurement exercise comes as the government continues to encourage greater participation of local enterprises in public procurement while expanding opportunities for businesses owned by youth, women and persons with disabilities.

With several high-value supply categories on offer, competition is expected to be intense as firms seek to secure long-term business with one of Kenya’s most prominent government offices.
