SHA Announces Over 500 Job Opportunities – How to Apply
The Social Health Authority (SHA) has launched a massive recruitment with over 500 job vacancies across various departments. The State Corporation established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023 provides financial risk protection to Kenyan citizens by ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare.
According to the authority, the advertised positions cater for a wide range of applicants, including those with minimum academic qualifications of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Grade D. Among the entry-level opportunities are three Senior Driver posts and one Senior Office Assistant position.
For the Senior Driver roles, candidates must have at least nine years of work experience, a valid BCE driving licence, first aid certification, and a defensive driving certificate. For the Senior Office Assistant post, applicants must have nine years of service, computer application skills and experience in managing office errands, mail handling and administrative duties.
While these roles are for those with basic qualifications, SHA is also looking to fill senior and principal officer positions across various departments. The bulk of the recruitment is for county and Huduma Centre operations. Positions include:
- 47 Principal Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers
- 183 Senior Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers
- 99 Senior Registration and Compliance Officers
- 96 Senior Claims Management Officers
Additional vacancies are in finance, ICT, human resources, supply chain management, planning, customer experience, legal, internal audit and administration. These are Senior Officers to Principal Officers positions to strengthen the workforce at different operational levels.
As per Chapter Six of the Constitution, all applicants must attach clearance certificates from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and a recognized Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
Interested candidates should submit their applications with a cover letter, detailed CV, academic and professional certificates and contact details of at least three referees.
