Police Probe Parcel Containing Human Fingers in Eldoret
Police are investigating a bizarre incident in Eldoret where a man received a parcel containing three human fingers and six bullets.
The recipient told police that on Friday, August 8, 2025 he received a call from an unknown number telling him he had a parcel for him.
He shared his location and a rider was sent to deliver the package.
He was at a bar when the rider called to confirm arrival.
Upon opening the envelope he found three human fingers and six bullets. Police who arrived at the scene confirmed the contents were three fingers—a forefinger, ring finger and little finger—all from a left hand.
They also found four 7.62mm and two 9mm live bullets with no message.
The fingers were taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary for verification while the bullets were sent for ballistic analysis.
The sender is still unknown.
Police questioned the rider during the investigation but the sender’s phone was off.
The motive and the identity of the fingers’ owner is still unknown.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fingers’ owner may have been killed or mutilated.
