UDA Ex-Parliamentary Aspirant Arrested in U.S. Operation Targeting Child Predators

A former UDA parliamentary candidate is among 12 suspects who were apprehended in the US for attempting to solicit the love of an underage woman.

A Kenyan national and former parliamentary aspirant has been arrested in the United States in a human tr@fficking ring.
The politician landed in soup after he is accused of having fallen for an undercover policewoman impersonating a 17-year-old girl who was looking for companionship online.

Nur, a former parliamentary aspirant on behalf of Kenya’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, is among 12 men charged in Eden Prairie.

According to Fox News, they were arrested while in a multi-agency sting to arrest buyers of passion, along the Interstate 494 corridor.

The suspects believed they were arranging to meet a teenage girl for moments of passion without the knowledge that she was an undercover agent working for the police department.

The sting operation involved internet advertisements for online dating sites, beneath which the undercover cop revealed she was underage, a fact that did not deter most of the men.

Nur, court documents indicate, was told the girl was “almost 18” and her age could not be promoted openly.

Despite this, he proceeded to schedule a meeting and was arrested at a golf course carrying $250 and a cell phone.

The sting operation also apprehended suspects ranging from 24 to 46 years, all from different parts of the Twin Cities.

Nine have been officially charged so far with attempting to engage in an affair with a minor.

Among the bizarre incidents was suspect Roberto Carlos Geronimo, 24, who had a bag of Sour Patch Kids as a “birthday present” after double-checking that he was okay with the girl’s age.

Ross Orren Nordean, 25, attempted to flee when officers approached, colliding his car with a tree and having $940 on him.

Eduardo Solis-Perez, 32, tried to flee arrest and was discovered in possession of drugs, a packet of c*ndoms, and two mobiles.

Police insist that all the suspects had received texts confirming the age of the undercover officer and responded in a manner that displayed knowledge and intent to go ahead anyway.

Nur’s arrest has caused shockwaves, particularly in Kenya, as his past political aspirations and joining the ruling UDA party have drawn intense criticism.

There has not been any official announcement by UDA or the Kenyan authorities regarding his arrest so far. Minnesota police authorities verify that the raid was part of an ongoing effort to combat the abuse of children in the area.

More investigations are ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.
